Oh please SG is deadly serious as the JP vets already stated in previous comments. Without SG you can't even play or enjoy the game. They only implement it to make more money. And soon in a couple months the service will end just because they are not giving majority of the payed currency out for free.

^

it all makes sense now

This is the mocking attitude I'm talking about, no one said what you just said right now - instead of addressing concerns you go for ad hominem attacks

nobody said that the service will end in a couple months? oh please go back and read previous comments

@JuggernautGTX why don't you find it for me, cause I sure did not say that in my posts. Even p2w SEA lasted 2 years.

@JuggernautGTX I've searched for the word month in the past couple of pages, haven't found anyone stating that service is going to end in a couple of months.

If it doesn’t change what are you going to do?

Play for free or go back to JP?

I really don’t see them changing anything.

If it does change what the next complaint thread topic?

I'm not fond of this SG ticket (it costs $50 just to be able to afford a 10 pull ,a rate that I've never seen even in the most predatory gachas like Brave Frontier, FF: Records Keeper, NA Star Ocean Anamnesis, KR Destiny Child, JP/NA Last Cloudia, etc.) and it's filled with two different tickets' worth of items too apparently! Considering the usual luck I see from AC tickets, such as shoving a lot of outfits at you and hardly any of the consumable hairstyles or accessories, this really feels like a slow burn to get as much money before an "End of Service Announcement" is posted months down the line.

It it doesn't change, I may very well move to JP, but for the near future, I know I am going to keep on fighting for changes to be made.

Also you'll talk like as if we are complaining for the sake of complaining. We're not. We are being critical because we care about the game. Why would I spend hundreds of dollars on a game if I was planning on leaving for another server where none of my purchases would carry over? We are following the same footsteps that the JP Community did when they faced a similar situation. They have literally proved that Sega can be reasoned with when they lashed back at Sega when SG first came out. That Sega can listen to its players. So there has already been an incident where the player base got changes by being vocal.

Right one person... two days ago, that is neither of the two people you are currently arguing with. Like that one person 100% thinks the same way we do.

@Archetype-Luna

and to add to it: this comes from a 2 days old account that only posted 3 comments - like several other accounts here wich all sound exactly the same or use same arguements like "insert games" wich makes me think if it was not just created by somebody who already posted on here to "sign his own statement"

And can you prove this? Or is it just a baseless accusation. Plus his statement seems more like him saying what it feels like rather than what is going to happen. Maybe more accounts are posting her because people are trying to voice their opinion on an issue that they believe matters. It is not like there are multiple reddit posts with several hundred upvotes talking about this and how to can voice your opinion on official channels such as the forums and support tickets. Maybe there are people talking about it that you don't see and decide that they want to give their two cents despite not normally doing so. Perhaps people actually do care about SG and the red flag the current level of SG monetization brings.

It's totally their right to do so. You don't have to be on the forums for an extended period of time to have a valid opinion.

@Archetype-Luna well i said "it makes me think" never said that it is

and to add to it: i am glad that you are not thinking the same way as that person does

and for the reddit part:

how did this (in one of those threads) get so many upvotes? people know how f2p games work and pso2 is one of the "f2p friendliest" games i have seen so far in terms of "p2w mentality"

this the original post

@Viurna said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:

After going through all 20 pages of this thread, it really feels like the people who were defending this ticket (Mumford and RainGnyu) are being disingenuous or purposefully false flagging in hopes to spark a fire so a string of negative comments brings a lock on the thread (seen it happen many times in other forums).

@Viurna said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:

I'm pretty sure JuggernautGTX is just false flagging. After several attempts at providing evidence just to have a "no you" spat back in response, I highly doubt they are seriously trying to have a discussion with their own opinions.

Looking at this person's post, I agree with what they say. We should stop taking the bait.

i will stop taking your bait...you already stated and advertised that you quit NA because of how much better JP is (wich makes me laugh to be honest because you keep saying how much you care about the NA version...hypocrite much eh?)

c7c6af53-ab4a-46e9-b2b9-a35a4b3fc05e-image.png

taking this from the reddit post....the "mentality" of some people wich feel entitled to get "everything they want for free" and complain if they dont - hence why i suggested to implement ways to earn SG (probably after the august update) but putting a weekly limit on them (much like jp - just not as much as jp..pretty sure that some of the employees are smart enough to figure a perfect way to please anyone)

@HarmlessSyan said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:

but there are alot of other posters with the same monetization concerns that have not mentioned JP at all.

Never played on JP, never going to play on JP, completely agree with the concerns.

SG costs the same as on JP, yet we have fewer SG sources (and still would even with the casino), more things to spend SG on and for the SG scratches way less time to use it.

That this is concerning is a bit of a no-brainer, really. You don't have to have ever played on JP to magically have that knowledge.

@HarmlessSyan said in SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?:

There has been reports ship 3 has been losing players and it has affected the player shop market supply and prices.

This has been absolute bunk since PC launch.

I've been on both ship 1 and 3 between then and now and their post-spike decline has been very comparable, as have the prices of much of the scratch content. The Top Sellers lists and the more up-to-date pricing of items on those lists are close enough that you couldn't identify which ship is which just looking at those*, and I've observed random acts of hoarding in equal measure on the two. Mediocre time attack runs rank about the same as well.

* And no, I'm not kidding here. With a scrambled list of the ships, here are the last 5 all-ships price checks from the discord, excluding items from before PC launch:

Ship Rabbit Sun-visor Kitsune Tails B Back / Invelm Angel Wings: Black Angel Wings: White Darkness Hair
Ship A 1,050,000 7,015,000 15,750,000 17,504,443 21,000,000 9,040,571
Ship B 3,045,000 6,793,500 14,700,000 18,793,950 21,001,050 17,395,000
Ship C 945,000 9,502,500 16,799,998 15,000,000 18,742,500 8,191,050

Can you tell which one is Ship 3 without looking at either the discord or the visiphone?

I honestly don't know why this myth continues to exist, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a lot of grass-is-greener misconception going on. I know there was a population difference prior to PC launch (and that is definitely reflected in the prices of content from that era only) so I wonder if every time a Ship 3 player asks about it since then, older players are recalling memories from that time rather than the present.

Sorry to be off-topic here, but it's just irksome to see this one continue to be brought up and propagated in unrelated places like this. Moreso now with ship transfer being opened. How many people are about to pay to uproot themselves and move to a promised land only to find things aren't really any better?

@Miraglyth Can you check for affixes, like 3-4 slot units with Modulator or Apprentice Soul or ARKS Fever. Or things like Nemesis weapons that have good affixes that aren't from natural drops. What does the supply look like on these. I mean fashion is great but you can get supply of them just by having whales.

@JuggernautGTX Said video in said post is 4 years old.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y5YJJaAI3Q

This was likely the announcement of SG in JP as this was during mid episode 4 if you look at the video's date: Mar 21, 2016.

https://www.bumped.org/psublog/pso2-jp-sg-scratch-darkness-ruler/

A look at when the first SG Scratch ticket was released and you see it was a couple months after the video: June 15, 2016.

Remember when I said there was a backlash from the JP player base that caused Sega to add more ways to obtain SG? So this video is likely before the backlash they got in JP. Of which they then added ways to let you earn SG and guess what, 4 years later, the game is still running fine despite SG being more generous than originally planned. Guess either they weren't as much in trouble as they said they were or being more generous made people give them more money.

Also hey, let's look at other threads that talks about the current situation of SG in NA:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO2/comments/ht0z8f/sg_scratch_isnt_just_a_bad_deal_it_is_disgusting/

Number of Up Votes? 377

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO2/comments/hs6mpj/psa_if_you_are_unhappy_with_the_current_situation/

Number of Upvotes? 255

Both are predominately negative on the situation of SG on the NA server.
