SG Tickets are now official. Thoughts?

@Timbot420

Funny, the topic was asking what my thoughts on are the SG Tickets - and I gave them. I'm sorry that my opinion differs from you, but as I said - I play the game to progress, not to fashion it up. So to me, the SG tickets pretty much don't even affect me, as fashion is a distant, distant after thought when I play any MMO.

As I already said - I get that it's upsetting for people like you that want fashion as their end-game, and yes, the prices are higher than they probably should be, but it's cosmetic stuff. Like I said - when Sega starts adding actual power progression behind AC and SG tickets that are literally unobtainable otherwise, than I'll take issue with it.

Unless that day ever comes (which it hopefully wont) it's optional cosmetic nonsense. I am of the mind that they really should just put the outfits up for purchase on the store rather than locking them behind the Gatcha system, but hey, welcome to how Japanese free to play games work these days (and the Japanese seem to love this kind of RNG nonsense for some reason).

You can also dial back the tone as well. I get your upset, but here's the thing - the topic asked for opinions, I gave mine. You don't have to like it, but there's nothing "Small brained" about it. SG Tickets don't affect me because they don't offer actual character progression to them, so that's my thought. Sorry I'm not raging about how I can't play dress up with my character like you want me to. It just doesn't bother me, and to me the fact that I can't dress my character up in some skimpy out fit is not an issue to me.

with fashion bein the true end game, this new sg scratch is a real kick in the balls lol

Not going to re type my essay again.

Assumed Mission pass and fresh finds shop was the replacement for these. Turns out a more apt comparison is an extended scummy version of the SG bundles they were doing not too long ago. We don't even get the same amount of time for the SG tickets (2 months instead of 6) yet this has 2 tickets worth of items. We also don't get the voice packs. They changed the manual on ways to earn SG's too.

Will not be buying these tickets. Will also likely not be buying any AC tickets unless this is changed. The JP model does not work for NA.

You need to spend over $100 worth of SG to get a ticket to pick one item off the list. Let that sink in.

+Item/filler bloat, +Untradable, +2 Months to fuel FOMO,

Where is the "Value" In this? Don't worry ... I won't be spending a dime on SG tickets... This is utter BS. I hated the Fresh finds shop and I hate what they have done to SG ... This has left a sour taste in my mouth to the point that (good job sega) I will be slowing down my money expenditures on this game dramatically.

This comes from someone who has already dumped $700++ into the game. So yeah time to vote with my wallet and come full stop.

@Timbot420 Cmon man, we know you're upset, but you don't have to go on personal attack there. To some people, fashion just isn't that important to them. It's fine, they did nothing wrong, they didn't come up with the system.

As for me, I'm looking into re-installing JP version now (had to reformat everything after getting BSOD upgrading to WIn10) and glad I held back spending money on NA. It was a fun ride while it lasted and I'll probably still stay on NA until the end of this mission pass just to sort of mark a nice ending.

I already spent money on JP expanding inventory to 150 and gotten extra mags so I do have some attachments to JP server. But mainly I think the lack of PSO2es and IDOLA to compliment the main game is what I really missed. Able to farm Soul Receptor and do free exploration for items/other random things on PSO2es, earning IDOLA points to buy SG or other boost items adds alot of flavor to the game for me. Now I need to do catch up, been 6 months since I left PSO2 JP, level cap been raised from 90->95 and I barely got to try Etoile before I left.

When I first joined PSO2 NA in beginning of June, it already worried me that the SG system on NA seemed more predatory with the mission pass and fresh find shop. Now we can really see they aren't really letting us earn SG in-game doing the repeatable weeklies like casino/battle arena/mobile games etc. as people cited that they changed their manual to remove ways to earn SG... yea... there's another version out there that I played for years so why stay on NA anymore.

sad thing is that this won't stop the whales so sega won't care. already seen a couple of full falz-matoi appearance showing off in lobby

Whenever I want ac tickets I just buy Ragol packs. I should be good with premium for a few months. Going to focus on storage expansion and that is it for now.

This is purely and simply a ripoff. And further than this, its really bullshit microtransaction. Its way too pricey for what you get(or not not get mostly).

i don't like it. we've got AC Scratch tickets and now SG on the same level with even more BS in them to reduce chances of getting something useful while being unable to resell it.

i get it, you can get SG ingame unlike AC, but the ratio of how much you can make without spending some real cash first is to small and paired with other ingame features that want your SG, this is a big no for me.

this game keeps leaning towards the big spenders, which drives people like me away that wouldn't mind spending some, unless i smell a scam.asking me to spend 100's of $ a month is crazy.

i know, it's not required, but fashion plays a big role in this game, and honestly, i was more willing to spend it on the JP version then on the NA one. lower the prices, or reduce the loot pool. current situation is nuts.

@Blade-Syphon On JP right now there's a special event SG scratch with powerful non-cosmetic augmenting related items, such as augment boost +55%, and doing that scratch 60 times rewards an augment boost +60%.

There's also "Affix Augment" types of items for Mark Receptor (which makes it possible to transfer mark augments), Divine Receptor (makes it possible to transfer a future augment, Divine Order, which has 50 of all PWR stats, 20 HP and 10 PP), any of the 4 mark augments, any of the stat VI augments (Might VI and such).

And each try at this SG scratch costs 100 SG.

On JP this scratch isn't an issue, we're not starved for SG there, we don't have a fresh finds shop, we don't have the battle pass system, our SG cosmetic scratches last for 6 months and have half the number of items that NA has, and we have more methods of earning SG for free, but on NA, once a similar scratch to this eventually comes, it's gonna be a mess unless things improve.

It's terrible. SG is already a crapshoot for NA, and now it is stretched between SG Scratch, SG Shop, and Fresh Finds, the latter of which's implementation is just as terrible.

SG is already essentially double the price of AC, and yet the items you can purchase with it (from both Fresh Finds and SG Scratch) have inherently less value as they cannot be traded, and in the case of Fresh Finds, are only available 1 per account ($5+ dollars for an accessory you can use on only one character, yay).

Not a fan of the expensive price for it, nor that this is only 2 months when it's 6 months in Japan. I'm hoping the next update adds some way to get SG easily like the Casino, else this is not going to do well, and is only going to turn a lot of us away from the SG Scratch Tickets in the future.

First, I'm not one above spending money. I actually fall probably far more towards the whale side of the spectrum.

This is too much for even for me, not because of the cost - that would be manageable, but because of the anguish that I see it putting my friends through.

The cost of each pull, when one factors in the availability of stargem generation, is too high. And the notice was far too short that this was coming, and basically only got revealed when someone noticed (and I assume it only happened because someone goofed up) that the recycle shop had SG scratch ticket recycle options in advance of it dropping. The pool is too diluted with crap like fixed color variants.

To address a few points that I see raised.

@DHG-MumfordsSon Look - I'm cynical about people who expect to play the game for free and never ever pay anything ever as well, but they have completely and totally wrecked the delicate balance between encouraging people to put in a little money and "LOL WHALES ONLY THANKS!"

Really, the game really is about cosmetics at the end of the day, and just telling people "you don't have to have it" really goes against the spirit of things. Secondly, there is absolutely no way that the game can support any meaningful number of people starting to cycle 12 freaking outfits a day.

Finally, there's being cynical and then there's being obtuse to the fact that for most people dropping $100 to get 2900 stargems is absolutely not a realistic or viable transaction they can afford to make in their life, and that having one or two things from this - things with a paltry pull chance - is important to them. These aren't tradeable. They're not sellable. If you want to have it, you have to get it now because there's no guarantee when, if it ever even will, come back. It is borderline predatory to do this to people for a cost this high, with this little notice, and no meaningful way even a reasonable portion of the server could address it if they decided right now to start using every option of SG generation we have.

But on the other side of the coin - People who are complaining about the duration of the window - yeah, they're trying to get us to parity. Some banners are going to be combined. You are in fact going to have to do outfit cycling. Some things that were promo codes are in fact going to be lumped into SG scratch. The windows ARE going to be shorter. The initial portion is going to be more grinde-y than your past experiences.

You're also going to have to put in SOME money if you want to get everything and do fresh finds and do material storage. Do I think buying stargems by the bucketload is too much to ask of you? Hell yes I do. 100%. Do I think expecting you to shell out $10-15 as a one-time charge to get some alts to cycle outfits with is excessive? No. Are you going to have to make decisions between fresh finds and scratch? Yeah.. you probably are. Your complaints about the cost, the duration of notice, and how much is in this thing for the very first one are absolutely valid, but the notion that you're going to be able to play for free forever and get everything you want cosmetically is simply incompatible with the fundamental nature of the MMO-in-2020 operating model.

Oh. Jeez. It’s almost like that is MONTHS Away and doesn’t effect anything at the moment. We don’t even have episode 4 yet. It’s an introduction! Don’t spend your money. Simple. They don’t get your money, they’ll fix it.

Still, this pack, cosmetics. That’s it. And music discs. I’ll get a free ticket a day, so I’m not complaining one bit.

They've already removed the blurb of the casino as a method to gain SG in their web guide, going to assume its going to be the same for all future methods JP has. Really scummy and unfair treatment of potential customers if it turns out true.
