Managing an Alliance is a nightmare. (A leader's POV)

Hey, my IGN is Bananas [ship 3]. I am the leader of a big, active Alliance (Gorillas). During peak hrs, we can have 30-40+ members online, forming more than one 12 man group at a time for Ultimates, triggers, Urgents etc. This is relevant because typically in other games I've played, I'd do different events/rewards etc which require me keeping track of my members' activity. Now, it is possible to keep track via Discord channel by having members post SS of Alliance Points etc or making spreadsheets which I have done but it is so much of a hassle. When my officers and I are making multiple "raids" to do stuff together as an Alliance, it takes longer to set up because I cannot just invite them from the Alliance list. We do have a meeting block and that helps but it still takes time. Also, I want to set up specific squads to do fun challenges/ have more efficient runs but I cannot see my members' level/class. Again, there is a way around it by keeping tabs on members through Discord (and we do usually have most, if not all members of the raid in call but still..) but why should we have to go that route? Don't get me started on the fact that the player's char name is usually different to their ID which means, we see a different name in the Alliance chat.. (yes, you get to know some members after a while but it's still annoying).

At the end of the day, I have other Alliance leaders that I've made friends with, disband their Alliance or it just fell apart because of the stress or inability to keep up with their members' activity etc.

any changes to the ui or anything would have to go to the JP side first then after a long time we would get it too. if its not on JP version, it wont be here anytime soon.

I understand that but I'm wondering how it hasn't been changed there after all these years. Nobody there complained?

The only big change was to the AP and how to obtain them, before it was from the AP quests only. Now it's from AP Quests and play normally gives AP now.

I second this opinion.

At the bare minimum Alliance leaders NEED to be able to find out who’s been active and who isn’t. I assumed leadership for my alliance after the original leader moved on and will probably be doing an alliance merger soon. At some point I’m going to have to do some housekeeping with inactives, and I guarantee there’s going to be at least one person who is confused/upset that they got dropped because I can’t see their activity and they weren’t active on discord. For larger communities I can’t even imagine. Adding a simple last played or AP per week/month counter would help so much with things. I was shocked something so necessary and simple wasn’t already put in when I first got a look at the rosters.

100% agree with you. It's so very frustrating. I removed 15 players to create space and even though I have my system set up to keep track, because I only created that system a few weeks ago, all the players I added before that are not all accounted for. Thus, I may have kicked a couple people that didn't deserve it.

They kind of already have a system in place.

As for Alliance Points you can get them by doing normal things, there is no longer a need to do just the Alliance Quests.

Ways to gain Alliance points - Alliance Client Orders, doing quests, sending "Kudos" and Casino are pretty effective ways to gain Alliance Points.

This is in NA????

I've yet to see this with myself (The image above) having confirmed members not being active over 30 days, and i'm sure the case in JP was it was around 30 I think for that tag? As I know those roles don't exist on NA. Honestly though, it's so hard to track who's done what, and as I've mentioned in other threads it's hard to recruit in-game as well due to no way to tell if a players online when they're seeking. Honestly I hope the Alliance system gets a major overhaul to make it manageable because unless you're active consistently officers included tracking player activity, you build up on players who you don't know whether or not to remove quickly. Which is taxing even for me managing mine.

@Nerzarn I've partied with some of your guildies before. i like your Alliance : 3

Does not exist in NA

Even though the implemented that in JP, it's still kinda shit. Like, can't they add the actual last date logged on? I'd still at least like if they brought this to NA.

They implemented that in JP over 3 years ago, meaning it's in the NA ver. of the game right now.

@animeregion How do I get to view it?
