Did they add any surprise content this update?

Like an ultimate run they didn’t announce or challenge mode they didn’t announce? Stuff like that.

They added SG Exchange badges which highly implies they're bringing in SG Scratch soon, which is a horrible idea given how grabby they've been for SG bucks.

@Nuebot Oh boy THAT would not go over well, people are already salty enough with the Fresh Finds shop system and yet another SG sink with very little ways to get SG is just gonna get people angry.

Also this might be why I didn't see the Viel + Cutis stuff show up in this mission pass and instead we got a redo of a lot of Season 1 outfits (I was kind of watching how the NPC looks were going up in the episodes 1 to 2 and thought this was the one where I thought Viel + Cutis (worn by a certain person in episode 3) was gonna show up.

New challenge mode: strike (actually CM1 from JP).

SG is easy to get. Buy cheap outfits and max the affinity on them. Easy SG. Simple.

That's 10SG a day per character lol if you think that's enough for how much they want you to spend.

Want you to spend? Who said you had to buy anything.

@Kuon Poor defence when the entirety of fresh finds is based off pulling in the victims of the FOMO tactic.

INB4 the shoddy "Its just cosmetic" argument after your tried and true "Who said you need to spend" you're the kind of person who helps companies push more and more microtransactions.

Edit - I forget the actual meme of the response which you gave, its literally the "Iiiiiits player choooooice" argument. Imagine an annoying nasally voice saying that.

Aside from your ignorance - Yes, you're right. Poor defence? No. Typically these type of transactions are literally in every game. Main example being "Lootboxes", in PSO2 case, mainly Scratch Tickets.

But yes there are people who have gambling problems/addiction which these companies feed off of. However, an individuals personal problem is not my problem. It doesn't affect me in anyway because i don't have a gambling problem hence therefore, i don't need to buy it. It should be regulated, mainly the loot boxes as it's gambling. Fresh Find's isn't. Not my fault these type of transactions aren't regulated like casino's. However that's changing in the UK apparently. U.S.A, most likely not.

Anyways, as you've so painstakingly said yourself "Iiiiiits player choooooice".

My ignorance, pardon? Says the person going "Not my problem" while we get heavier monetisation than the JP version.

Also clearly you don't understand the FOMO factor of fresh finds with its daily roll out of 80,160 and higher star gem items, its a predatory method, one which I was fine with since I thought it meant no SG gacha which is even more predatory but guess what LOOKS LIKE WE GET THAT TOO so look at what we get, a predatory monetisation scheme on top of a predatory monetisation scheme.

Calling me ignorant when clearly you are ignorant to predatory monetisation and when you are its a "Not my problem" from you.

The "It's player choice" argument comes from corporate mouthpieces as a defence for egregious monetisation

Edit - This is getting off topic, if you wanna continue the argument post your reply in the thread in the in game suggestions I made.

Ship transfer.

Introducing this without any notification shows the current status of NA server well.

@Kuon Please. That is 10 SG per 24 hours. Hardly a valid method to gain a decent amount of SG.

I know. Regardless it's still a free way to obtain SG everyday instead of buying it.

@Kuon Yet it is inneficient,a waste of Meseta amd greatly insufficient when taking into account the amount of SG necessary to buy anything that has any kind of worth. The issue that people are having is that they are bleeding out our wallets with tons of SG paid items with very little ways to get SGs outside of buying them. I'd be fine with the idea if we didn't already have the AC in tems of premium currency. Wether or not someone has an 'addiction' isn't really relevant. The issue is that they are bringing a lot of monetization, like way too much.

You want player shops? Pay. You want trading? Pay. You want decent player rooms? Pay. You want mission passes? Pay. You want cool items? Pay SG or AC. You want color change passes? get AC stuff so someone HAS to pay somewhere for this item to be on the market or you have to pay them yourself. And you know what? i'd still be fine with it,if all of this paying wasn't so costly. We are talking about an average of 25$ US,which by itself is already a lot of money, but take the conversions into account as well. It gets even worse.

PSO2 NA is definitely abusing this monetization versus the JP one. This is the issue.
