Game not rated by the ESRB

To give the benefit of the doubt (since it's hard to believe Sega would tarnish their rep with a lie like this), perhaps it's just not listed yet on the search?

It's not listed on the site period. Google also brings up zilch. Also this rating appears on the Micro$oft Store, it's not just Sega.

T huh.... I thought it was M

@HarmlessSyan No, it's rated D in Japan as of April 2020. The data for that update is already translated in the NA version's files unless I am mistaken too.

Oh nervmind, I guess ESRB outsources to IARC for Micro$oft store.

Not sure why it has the ESRB logo if ESRB didn't rate the game themselves though, I tried finding an answer but all the stuff I found flew right over my head. It also begs the question of why @GM-Deynger said Sega claimed they're concerned about the ESRB rating when the ESRB isn't even involved in rating the game.

I thought the phrase went "online interactions not rated by ESRB" because you can't really prevent someone from stumbling onto a porn symbol or someone using slurs.

Also the game is rated this CERO D on the JP website.

That link is about Sega of America, who appear to have no involvement with PSO2.

It was, during the closed beta. During open beta and beyond, however, it was T.

Sub contractors perhaps? I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. But yeah, this game was apparently M rated when it got initially ported, then it got it's T rating.

There's some scenes in episode 4 that could have bumped it up to there. We'll see if it gets re-rated once that comes out.

Well RIP, if its T instead of M. Some of the outfits most likely won't make it and I guess that kind of explains why we don't have smart inner wear.

Well, with how skimpy some outfits already are, I'm surprised the rating wasn't already revised.

Bro I wish I had half the free time you have to go around investigating these things...
