How to delete/uninstall PSO2?

How to delete/uninstall game?

Microsoft has done a fine job at making things difficult. The MS store UI feels sluggish and unresponsive as hell and I'm not even sure its doing anything.

Try searching Add or remove programs and then see if Phantasy Star Online 2 is in the list.

Nope not under add/remove programs. Game is now gone from my programs list but it still occupies the space that I cannot modify/delete.

It should be in a hidden folder called WindowsApps on whatever drive it was installed on, which is a pain in the ass to access. I was able to get into it with this guide and clear out most of the wasted space after two nuked installs, though about 10gb worth of crap still remains that I still can't permissions for even with this program.

Edit - as of now it will continue to move the game to this folder, requiring a re-download every time the computer resets, sometimes even without, until Microsoft manages to fix the problem on their end. Even using the tweaker (https://arks-layer.com/) this still happens for me.

same problem here , cant even uninstall to try dowload and intall the game again, PSO2 demise will be microsoft store and its over complicated way to delete stuff (tried with the add/delete apps, but it never start deleting/uninstalling, also tried the windows app folder but there is always a folder with pso2 files that you cant even change the permission)

Good stuff my dude, this is what they gotta sticky!

Managed to scrub PSO2 off my PC and I think it recovered all my storage space. Tried reinstalling again and game still refuses to launch.

Guess its farewell to PSO2, had fun while it lasted shame the game is crippled by quirky distribution systems.

Actually I was able to get it to work properly with the tweaker, I had just forgotten to set the directory to the one the tweaker uses (PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_NA in whichever directory you choose for it) instead of the default. And it's working for me now even as the default directory has been moved to WindowsApps..just took a bit to figure out that's what I was doing wrong

Yeah my issue is that MS STORE refuses to install PSO2 to the previous drive where it was working fine. But it can install to my system drive which lacks the space for it.

@Ark That'll only delete the stuff in ModifiableWindowsApp (maybe), there is also stuff in WindowsApp under BackupMutable folder (and supposedly the Mutable folder). For some reason Microsoft made it so the only thing that has access to those folders is TrustedInstaller (perhaps the most insidiously named program I've ever heard) so you have to change the ownership and access permission on both.

I did this but lost 5gb of stuff still after deleting mutable back up, where do I find this missing 5gb?
