Controls are terrible

@John-Paul-RAGE My main point is, that monster hunter is far from faster paced than pso2

@Le-Lilly Only thing that is faster from Monster Hunter is the characters do not need to deal with Dudu.

@Pulptenks Dudu final endgame boss

@Le-Lilly lmao I was looking back at my shots from Monster Hunter World to compare the speed of actions and found the perfect video for your point.

The session got broken and was moving a 1 frame every 5 seconds.

Game's been out for 8 years and the controls are still terrible. No matter if you play with keyboard or controller.

This game was built around a controller, but it's terrible to use with sub-palette. I have to stop moving look down at the bar figure out where my item highlight is and spam the d-pad all the way over to whatever item (usually moon atomizer at the end of my bar) i want.

This is why I highly recommend buying a chat pad for controller players

How's the weight though?

I mean yall are sitting here weighing 2 different games about pacing of combat and dont really consider how classes you choose to play vastly changes the pacing at which you play... it's almost like saying pso2 is slow paced because you play a ranger vs pso2 being fast paced because you play a gunner... an enhancement shaman is going to play at a completely different pace than an elemental shaman... hell if you play modern warfare as a sniper you can arguably say that is plays slower than pso2 and monster hunter...

@OogieV ACtually, this is just a matter of getting used to being good with it. I haven't had any issues because I have logged in far over 8k hours in Phantasy Star Portable 1 alone and I messed with my palettes A LOT. In PSO2 I move around and optimize my pallettes so I am always on the move.

Weight of the chatpad? idk it not a noticable difference for me. Controller feels naked without it now for me

You're kind of dumb if you can't figure out control. That's a you problem. Game is fine. You just nitpicking on something you don't like. Both Monster Hunter and FFXIV are slow paced games. So you must be a slow person.

Lol @ this lobotomy of a forum post

Hi everyone! Monster Hunter veteran here! (Monster Hunter --> Monster Hunter World)

Can confirm that PSO2 is much faster pace. Monster Hunter combat is intentionally slow and methodical, which is why you're typically locked into an animation when you throw out a swing for every weapon, including fast weapons like Dual Blades.

Also, OP, you're welcome to complain all you like, but if the controls were really as bad as you say they are, I doubt the game would be as popular as it is.

Just saying.

Nice necro. Anyway, I can give you a true comparison. A comparison so accurate that you wouldn't be able to refute it

The boss is Elzelion.

"why is this big sword so slow?"
