I have been playing the game for around 5 hours now and whenever I am in the main hub I always have a mission marker telling me to go talk to Afin for a reward, but when I talk to him nothing happens. I tried completing all of his client orders to see if that would make it go away but no matter what I do the indicator will not go away.

You have a waypoint placed on him from the Main Missions tab (Esc > Shift, or speak to Astarte). Select the mission asking you to talk to Afin and untrack, or track and untrack a new mission.

Thank you... I had the same problem. I had no idea I needed to go "claim" the rewards or you could track quests here.
