Censoring in game ?

Hmm, it might actually relate to hitboxes more so. From what I saw on google about height stuff in PSO2, there are some strange occurences with certain skills / techs / etc. at certain height values. This could give an advantage to some players in PvP, which I expect will be more competitive in the west.

@CFR Yeah the lack of edit sucks quite a bit. Ty for taking the time to check i appreciate it.

Probably because the people who boycott the game cause they can't relieve their Loli fantasies aren't a big enough percentage of the NA playerbase to cause a considerable loss.

Microsoft put their name on this localization, so they have to play local politics as well. It isn't just PSO2 on the line, it is their brand as well.

Exactly this. Plus, does it really affect MUH PLAYER EXPERIENCE if you can't make a loli/shots?

It doesnt affect anything its more just silly that in this day and age censoring is still a thing. Its like when they brought over that new one piece game. They cut out a segment from NA. Thats why i import lol. Though i do have a short character myself on the jp servers she does not look young. I just wanted some different heights for my jp charactersr instead. My Cast is the tallest at the max setting and my 2nd female is around one click below that.

Yeah but the probs is not abouth that. Some law say you can't put little girl naked or almost naked. Some people do their character like a 8 year old girl and put their character in some lewd thing. That pretty much the probs here.

We can't realy do something here. JP standar are not the same here.( Ages of consent and stuff like that.) But I do understand that is bad choice. 😕

Well I can not speak for people that do odd things like that but surely not everyone that makes a short character in a game does that

Yeah I know, that pretty much why I think its still a bad choice. 😞

I think the symbol art porn is a bigger problem.

And here comes the "she only looks like an 8 year old, but really 1000 year old dragon" crowd.

Look it won't kill the game by removing the bodies that make people look like underage school girls. Believe or not that isn't a deal killer for most people and the game will do just fine with out.

Just make an in game filter for people who don't want a mature chat. One on family, one on Mature.

@oldColdReactive The game doesn't have traditional "hit boxes", they are more like hit "spheres". Wonky right? Height actually does not play that big of a part in the game. I believe the height was changed either to fit more for average heights in North America OR was a part of the censoring process, because people did make a lot of child-like characters on the Japanese servers.

@ShinobuRaiu Yes, this is definitely a big issue. The only way you can really deal with this issue is by reporting said person and then blacklisting them, that way you cannot see their messages and whatnot.

That's a smart option, but it won't get everything. People who want to be deliberate trolls or deliberately offensive will find a way around those sorts of filters.

With that said, some of the symbol art that's created in game is really really good. I'm not sure how even half of the best ones are done.

Never knew this was a thing people did on PSO2 in JP since I never played it, but I liked making a small female cast on PSO to be able to wield the largest and strongest swords around haha. Its like a tiny robot that was super dangerous with weapons bigger than themself.

But yeah I couldnt find a femalr cast desgin like the old ones where the character looked covered in all armor so I had to pass that for now.

The only noticeable difference of attacks with height is Deadly Archer (dunno what it's called in NA) where the distance where the double saber would be is further the taller you are.

Everyone has the same hurtbox size however, so that doesn't matter in PvP. What does matter is how your mind would perceive how to hit your enemy because of the visual difference. (i.e mini rappy suit with maxed out humongous accessories).

Seems like not too long ago, there was a fairly big thing about violence to children in video games; I remember at least one game that changed it so you couldn't harm npc kids at all. You had to be careful not to hurt adults, but kids were invulnerable.

It's odd that there's censer's on stuff like this while we have Afin using language ingame on the tutorial, 8:05 / 24:33 on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MslbJMsRe4, Wonder what else has been changed? Watch outfits be changed next.

Apparently there are some changes to some of the outfits from what I've read.
