PSO2 Ratings Have Tanked And Microsoft Store Is To Blame! But fear not! We have a solution......

While Microsoft Store hasn't gotten it fixed yet, and are dragging their heels on this, I would like to say that PSO2 Tweaker has been fully upgraded to work with PSO2na. The instructions are very clear and easy to use, and it works with the Microsoft Store, however it gives you a better launcher, and fixes the buggy interactions between the game and the Microsoft Store with a patch. Follow the instructions completely. Some people like to read the first line, and then just go ham, but there is a series of steps that the setup walks you through. They are easy to follow. A step many skip over, is that after the tweaker is installed, before launching the game, they have to use the Microsoft Store patch file, that the tweaker instructions give you a link for. The file says to right click on it and open it with Powershell. If you just left click on it, all you're going to get is a text file full of code that does nothing. If you do this, and the game doens't work, it's user error for not following instructions. Right click. Powershell. Tweaker will not work without this patch, as it fixes the Microsoft Store bug in relation to PSO2, and allows you to continue to use the Microsoft Store for PSO2 purchases, and for your xbox live account. When the setup gives you instructions and offers to open up an install guide website with information, open and read the install information. It makes the process go so smoothly, and without error. Once you're playing the game, you'll notice that It even removed the lag the game was having in player populated areas like the gate room. Here's the Link. Enjoy PSO2 to your hearts content. https://arks-layer.com/index.php

@TrueSocialFox So basically i got an autistic PC then, because everything seemed to show that it should work right away but i still got launcher errors lol, but only those.

That was an analogy, all PC units are pretty much autistic, they differ ever so slightly even if using the exact same components, even if you image the OS on all of them, people will have slightly different settings that can or can't affect stuff you do on it, the launcher could be erroring out because your router is blocking a specific port, or your connection is dropping packets, etc, so it's not limited to your PC.

Heck ... VSee app, crashes when running in sandboxie if the game is running, it doesn't give a warning, it just force-closes for no reason.

Actually that was merely a joke comment but ok fair, explaining what could go wrong is always good to learn anyway.

By the way guys. My alliance is also recruiting. Consider joining the lot of you? ;D

I know steam does take it cut but considering it’s a 70% negative review , many forum threads and the twitter messege they probably lost a lot of paying customers already . Having it on either steam or a launcher option on their main site would of solved many of the issues

They already lost out on a ton of profits by releasing it in NA only though.

Couple that with the fact that they've avoided Steam as well makes it even worse.

Steam does take a cut, but it's not as bad as Microsoft's cut and they don't have to fork out a ton of money each update they push for the game, which they have to when they want to update the game on Xbox.

@Excess-Evil Except with steam, you would STILL need to go through microsoft as long as MICROSOFT is the publisher for the NA version which means you need to download the launcher from STEAM servers which would still make the game have to download the windows 10 shit cause it's locked to it which means it still downloads from the Microsoft store which sends the files to steam and then you can finally download the SEGA files to play the game but on microsoft servers so all Steam is doing is adding one more launcher to actually being able to play the game and potentially having more problems down the line.

Oh and read hte forums of Steam and you will know why Steam isn't the best platform.

MICROSOFT is the publisher

No they aren't. Microsoft just provided the server architecture / structure / etc. SEGA is still the publisher. Let's just say... SEGA is paying off a loan to Microsoft, and Microsoft has some minor influence (barely) until it's paid off.

Please do note, I didn't say "SEGA of America," I do actually mean SEGA, as in SEGA of Japan.

@coldreactive Whoops I should have fact checked that one.

Yer correct that it's actually Sega Games Co., ltd.

But still doesn't change the fact that if it was on steam they would still need to download the files through MS store.

You don't know what you're talking about.

In a Steam release, the initial download would be handled by Steam, the game would be stored in a regular folder (and not in a protected folder like the MS store), and downloading the game's data would be handled by the game's launcher.

The MS store won't be responsible for any of this, so issues like the game deleting itself or being unable to remove leftover files won't happen in this release.
