@TheAngelneer Bad rep is putting it kindly. Hell I decided to remain kind in my wording because I do not want to judge everyone in the RP community as those....things in Balmung. I do know there are a lot of great people in the RP community that can put the two aspects of the game separate from each other. But damn. No. I have no interests in seeing RP in my content. The FFXIV RP community was extremely toxic...

I feel you, everyone here on Aether got relieved when Balmung got yanked across the Datacenter boundaries lmao

Most of us plays / played FF14. RP communities always fail or end up not playing the game. It's fun but I am not interested into it for PSO2. Even less would prefer avoiding RP drama.
I'm here to play PSO2 and socializing. The said if people wish to RP, ship 03 is the place for it. I'm staying Ship 01.

@Pulptenks I do not specifically want them to not to what they enjoy. But these communities tend to exagerate shit and then when the people who aren't into their fun ask for it to stop,we get litterally insulted and they go SJW on us. I want to have fun talking with people,making jokes and shit. I don't want to see half naked people doing pole dance in the middle of a mission.(because you KNOW that is happening somewhere)

Ah, it was always fun to load into a dungeon for a dose of SURPRISE RP with a Fairyless Scholar because they had a fight with their fairy or some other bullshit ("I'm on a quest to recover my soul crystal!" - level 80 CNJ in Amauroth).
@TheAngelneer Now that you put it that way. Thats how gangs work, outsiders have no idea what kind of invisible pre-established turf that has been lain.

Hi, while I understand that you had poor experience with Roleplayers in FF14, but that's applied to any bad Roleplayers in any MMORPGs. I'd appreciate it if you don't try to group up everyone , attack and make negative comments in the thread. Most of the time, you probably won't see most of them anyways not just because they are in Ship 3, but because they are going to be in designated blocks and in cafe socializing.
Also fyi, most of those "pole dancers" in underwears and bikinis in PSO2 are non-roleplayers in Lobby 1/2 in Ship 1 and 2.

Yeah, this exactly. I've been happily RPing in FFXIV for almost four years now. Blaming all FFXIV RPers, or even all of Balmung's RPers, for the ERPers is really unfair. It's not our fault amorous tourists insist on populating our main RP hub. It'd be like if Goldshire (which is way more depraved than the Quicksand) moved into Stormwind and gave everybody a bad impression of WoW RPers.
Balmung's reputation is self-perpetuating. When we were locked down and people couldn't make new characters, things were calm. All the untoward stuff moved to Mateus. Then we were opened up again, and everybody flooded in moving characters and making alts and world visiting. You can't really blame the long-time players for that.
There aren't THAT many people that do MMO RP, and there aren't that many MMOs to RP in. RP communities aren't that different between games and often have overlap. Just because you had bad experiences doesn't mean FFXIV/Balmung RPers are any worse than any other community, in regard to vulgary or toxicity.
I have no idea how the RP community is so "intrusive" when it's contained in and around one bar, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd not call Balmung RPers "things".
@Sha-Seng Well,I get that ya'll ain't happy about what i said,and frankly,IO ain't going to apologize. Not when I have had my immersion and fun totally ruined by people who wants to either ERP or decide to say fuck mechanics because stupid reasons. And like I stated in one of my comments,if anyone actually bothered to read rather than cherry pick statements,NOT EVERY RPer are necessarily like this. However people like this do ruin other people's fun and put you all in negative view. I will say things how I think them,and I ain't going to censor myself for any reasons,I am blunt and that's how it will remain. And when people are ruining people's fun purposefully,then they do deserve the negativity.
Also,I am sorry to say it,but if you make a public post,you expose yourself to any types of comments,wether they be positive or negative. If you don't want negativity,then don't post?

Frankly Moonguard itself has destroyed everyones opinion of WoW RPers. If you bring up RP in that game, ppl will mention specifically porn in Goldshire on Moonguard. Its transcended into legend at this point whether or not its even accurate anymore, the stigma is still there that server is doomed to that reputation till servers close.
