This new SG Sale is Absolutely Wrong

@Zumi81 currently you cannot get them from arcs league nor can you claim them from the casino so we have fewer ways to obtain them at the moment. PVP is also not in the game at the moment

Time attack is also bugged.

Yeah that too. honestly my opinion is if they added all these different ways to earn star gems a lot of these star gem options would be less of a pain

At this point it is getting a little tiresome seeing these "sales" pop up every so often. It's not a sale. A sale would indicate that these items were available to us beforehand and at a more expensive price. That isn't the case on the NA side of things. If they are going to try to milk the player base then they should at least be honest about what it is. Would I like the current items? Yeah, of course. But it's not worth the price tag for how little we actually get.

A item does not have to be expensive to go on sale. I am not surprised one bit. They are trying to make money. I do wonder how much japan makes on the series as they have more ways to make it than the US side that many probably forget. Japan has mangas, artbooks, data books, fashion books, physical store items, convention items, figures, osts. To name a few of the things that bring them money in JP NOT counting in game items and ac. In america what do we have outside the in game things? Just curious.

@Meta77 In some countries it is illegal to put items on sale when they haven't been on sale at a regular price for a minimum of time. Among those, UK, Germany and Canada. PSO2NA is offered in Canada.

Bethesda got dragged through mud for this in it's F76 Christmas sale. I'm not a lawyer but I wouldn't be surprised if it applies to also digital products.

Sale has 2 different meanings also, 1 being available when an item is just available to be sold, and the other being when an item is being sold at a reduced price.

I am assuming they are using the first definition where you say something is now on sale meaning its just available to buy not using the reduced price meaning.

i kind of wish these bundles seperated the male and female costumes mostly. unless you are a player who makes both male and female chars female or male costume is not gonna benefit the people buying. like with this pack they should of had a ethen and a karen pack seperate. from what i heard they cannot be sold either so that also does not help

It's literally not even ambiguously the latter. In fact, based on what happened with Fallout 76, this may actually be quite illegal of them to do. Observe the below: alt text

Legal or not, I do think that, while it may get more people to impulse buy, they would benefit from having various cosmetic packages like this available at all times. That way people have something to either buy when they wish or save up for. And it would be a bit more cash for them in the long run instead of the short term.

This feedback regarding the separation of gendered-items in the item pack has been reported to the team as well. 🙂

I'm not saying that concept is wrong. The issue at hand is if anything that it's not like that. It wavers in legality when something that has not been previously available is introduced with a "discount" that's in actuality the only price it's ever had.

Are Star Gems hard to get in the NA version? They seemed really easy to get in JP and didn't really cost anything I had so many I didn't know what to do with them. Still waiting on PC.

Yeah they are definitely harder in NA.

Known ways are: Paying about 100k per outfit/ou doing 24 hrs and claiming gem. (More for some outfits and outwear) Getting missions/tier/titile quest completions Getting them from log in/ sega bonuses, sometimes ark leagues. Mission Pass (about 50-75) (Cost 200 to buy it)

I spend on the game for cosmetics no problem and have bought the last couple suds and bath towel packs. But this new pack is over the top offensive, it's making it very hard to justify spending any more money in the future on this game if the sales practice continues like this.

I mean, excluding some "whales" (I hope I am using that term correctly), If people boycott the pack and don't buy it they will realize that we aren't happy with it and they will stop trying to nickle and dime everything. Though it is good we are expressing our distaste for it now, before it gets way more out of hand.
