Certain Text Characters Disallowed From Chat

So it's come to my attention over the past few weeks that most characters outside of the basic ASCII set aren't allowed to be sent in chat, even though they can display ingame. Japanese characters cannot be sent at all and even some WEAPON NAMES cannot be said in chat due to this even with all English settings on.

For example, the Dual Säbels is a 4* Soaring Blade weapon that literally cannot have its name said in chat. As with any other cases of this, the chat simply refuses to send it.

This was never a problem on Japanese PSO2 as all characters can be attempted to be sent, even if the font doesn't support them.

Please just make this work like Japanese PSO2 and let us send messages without character restrictions. This is a 100% downgrade and unacceptable.

it probably would work if we had a proper item linking system like most other MMORPGs have. (Heck, even Tree of Savior has item linking like this.) Since item linking systems use a variable, and thus when you send the chat for the item linked, it bypasses the restriction, because you're actually sending the placeholder / varianble, and not the item's name.

That is a neat system, but it has nothing to do with the actual problem. In JP PSO2, we can use things like Alt+Enter line end characters to space out a message. In NA PSO2, this is impossible because that character is considered outside the range of valid characters. You also cannot, for instance, make a character with a Japanese name if you want to, or even speak in Japanese text, even though it's a language option, because the game doesn't allow those characters to be used.

The one exception to these things is the shop search, but considering actual text communication is impacted, it is a major problem regardless.
