Hello. So I have an issue or thought. While visiting the visiphone/player shops looking for items, players will have pictures that are very lewd and inappropriate (bare breast and buttocks of anime girls) pictures as their player shop logo. This bothers me, I have family around would would walk by as I'm playing and wonder what am I involved in, have I no decency. How do I turn this off or is this something that can be censored or just blocked so that i can still buy from a player and not see that. A player may have a cheaper Item but have a lewd picture as their logo...do I have to purchase an item from another player that is more expensive because of this? At least the personal means to block inappropriate content. Thanks.

@UmemeMfalme one option is to go to your symbol arts, change the tab to Recent, and go through and start blocking all the inappropriate symbol arts.

I would recommend doing that when there aren't people walking by the TV, I looked at my recent tab and it was filled with all kinds of garbage.

@John-Paul-RAGE ok cool. Along with those options is there something that i can use to block all content. I'm sure I'll see when I look at the options but does this only work with 'recent content that I've seen'? I can imagine visiting the visiphone again and seeing more, different inappropriate content. Will I have to keep blocking everything I see? Thanks

You can block ALL Symbol Art from the Chat Settings menu in Options:

Disabiling SAs outright is ill advised unless there's a specific reason such as if you're at work or streaming. SAs are a legitimate form of communication, they just happen to get abused often. Don't forget to report people who abuse it as well. Lewd SAs tend to vary but outright pornographic ones are always a ToS violation.

Also I'd personally keep word balloons on and disable autowords in the text field so you can still see autowords but autowords don't spam it. I forget how to do this though. Make sure your autowords are limited to team chat too (again I forget how to do this)

Yes blocking and also disabling symbol art are your lifelines.

Ultimately it all comes down to "why isn't there just an on/off for explicit content"?

Mark images as not suitable for children, filter words and allow an on/off function so people can swear without circumventing the blanket filters.

Virtually every MMO on the market has this exact same system. If people violate these rules, report them, let a GM suspend their account. But don't start doing that until you give people an option to turn off the filter so they can swear and stop feeling a need to circumvent these things.

@RobAtTheWiire Well online isn't rated. They have no control over what goes there. So to cover themselves they do that to minimize work and legal issues.
