First off, as I’m playing All of a sudden the ship is in a state of raid. But what are we supposed to do? Wait for an urgent quest to pop up? Go somewhere?

Also what are those platform things that get dropped off from ships that have the blue rings pulsing out of them? What do you do with them?

That notification means there will be an Urgent Quest starting within 15 minutes.

The weird platform thing emits those blue rings that do an absolutely trivial amount of damage to any enemy that happens to be nearby.

Those platforms usually get corrupted and can poison you, think of them as a little bit of platforming avoiding the corrupted rings then reseting it.
