Options: Streamer Mode

We have a lot of live-streamers jumping in who don't go through the in-game options before the camera turns on.

Addition of this setting will take the load off of both SEGA, Twitch, and YouTube from having to explain it in detail.

Functions similarly to Simple Graphics Settings through automatically setting options to the following:

  • Voice Chat Settings: OFF

  • Show Auto Chat In Log: Hide

  • Other Player Auto Chat Display Settings Event: Hide

  • Other Player Auto Chat Display Settings Member: Hide

  • Other Player Auto Chat Display Settings Action: Hide

  • Alliance Chat Balloon Display: Hide

  • Displaying Symbol Art of Other Players: Hide

  • Stamp Audio Playback: Mute All Stamps

  • Privacy: Block and Mute All Whispers <New!>

  • Log: Improve the Change Display Mode option upon changing zones to remain consistently hidden.

  • Player Chat Bubbles: Hide and Mute All <New!>

  • Alliance Scouting Notifications: Hide

  • Friend Request Notifications: Hide

  • Party Invite Notifications: Hide

  • Hide Other Players' Accessories: All Characters

Agreed, and also the alliance/friend/party notifications need to be improved, even when those options are set to hide there's still an annoying window that stays at the top of the screen saying that the player has notifications, it needs to be possible to hide that window as well.

Your new additions are going in the right direction but there are more changes that would help. For instance, all invitations should be automatically DECLINABLE, not just hideable (especially since the "hide" option is a joke considering the notification window size). Also, don't name it "streamer mode" to indicate it's made for those clowns, but "privacy mode".

What? But a large reason we need a mode to toggle this all off at once is to protect streamers from getting themselves banned or their streams removed because someone decides to do something stupid while they're streaming.

It makes perfect sense to call it streamer mode because this is exactly the setup a streamer would need in the game to be able to be toggled all at once.

He probably just hates streamers for some reason. Even though they provide free exposure for the game.

@Riesz "Privacy mode" would be truly perfect since it's meant for your privacy whether you're streaming or not. Why be disingenuous when you can just state its intention clearly?

Company final decisions for content naming is generally against player initial suggestions anyways, so try not to get too attached.

The only times that names are 75% guaranteed is for design contests.

They shouldn't need to risk their career by playing your game. Being able to "mute all" or hide all seems like a simpler solution, even in the long term, than purging dirty symbol arts and stuff. Mute all even seems simpler, these guys haven't played your game, so make it easy to find for them.

If I'm wrong feel free to correct me but there's already a feature I like this which is the hide ui

/UIOFF 100

For a example

@Drakaina Hiding the UI can be nice but if you're just trying to play the game (such as seeing your health bar, your PP, your subpalette, UI indicators for your targets, and so on), that command will hide absolutely everything.

What is being suggested is a method of keeping these up but at the same time getting rid of the more-easily abused parts of the UI such as party invitations popping up to block your screen and inputs, your chat box being flooded with whispers you cannot automatically block or decline, or something as simple as a spam bot spamming their messages in general chat when you have no intention on advertising them or their services. This can extend further to shenanigans you can see elsewhere such as "accidentally" going into Block 34 when you first log in and being greeted with players who are arguing with each other to block up your chat feed and more.

I don't have a preference for the name of the feature, but I really do think this is something Sega should have had ages ago by now.

Gotta admit, been seeing Twitch users complain about VoD removal because the accessories get tagged as indecent.

(Despite even the forum mods giving the "it's legal" stamp of approval.)

Also saw an icon taken from the auto clip SS while in the city that do have the bot (illegal) websites on them.

I can see SEGA making some effort there, but it's at the same level of "let the FBI handle it" as Mabinogi.

And that's not good for players trying to leave WoW that does have bots visibly going to and fro on scripts.

If anything, PSO2 NGS is going to lose to FFXIV unless there's a collab event with old and new refresh items.

Streamers won't read. It might be easier to make the "Streamer Mode" an option directly on the login screen.

That way it can be turned off later and options can return to original settings when the player is casually doing stuff.
