The new scratch sucks, and still no content.

To be fair, it's really only the De Alles set that's literally just a human. The other two starters are pretty in line with the average caseal set design (which in comparison to De Alles, they are a pretty significant improvement, I'd say), and the new set from this scratch is actually pretty easily one of the top tier caseal sets by the metric of "does this seem robotic at all" (ignoring heads, which are almost universally bad for caseals, at least in this regard). Note that the use of "robotic" here is referring to the difference between "that is made of flesh" and "that is made of metal" and not "that looks humanoid" and "that looks like a spaceship". My personal preference is made of metal and humanoid but SEGA usually only makes humanoid with weird metal clothing, so the Svela set was a pleasant surprise so early into NGS after the horror of De Alles.

I personally have always loved CAST hair because it glows unlike human hair. If you have white hair, it looks really cool!

I'm very dissapointed with this terrible AC scratch because it adds NOTHING, It's just more random generic waifu female set costumes, NOTHING new and innovative for male characters.

Seriously, the lack of NGS content is immensingly dissapointing.

Also nice Costumes, instead of separating it into different parts like Basewear, outerwear and innerwear, they are one single item instead, SEGA is really lazy with their design.

Which says more about the other sets TBH, PSO2 has almost always done a bad job with Caseal sets especially compared to some of the previous entries of the series and most of the few sets which are actually decent are unavailable due to them being old MP items.

Can't say it adds nothing then list what it adds. Also can't say nothing new for males when there's a male CAST set. Also what makes something a random generic waifu piece of clothing?

@XenoBladeX37645 we get you’re going to defend Sega against literally any and every criticism except for the SA porn and height restrictions. Can you just stop?

Yeah, it hurts. I still think Svela is pretty good even ignoring all the sets that aren't robotic, though. As long as a design is actually robotic and decently humanoid you've sold me.

At the least, the graphics update did wonders for caseals, because "lol just change the skin color to something robotic if you don't like it" is even possible now (before your only real option was pitch black), so the amount of parts that someone who actually wants to play a female robot has to choose from isn't limited to around only half or less of the sets.

The one area I'd say needs the most work at this point for caseal fashion is more metal hairs (though more good sets would always be appreciated) - we don't have a great selection, and a lot of the longer ones in particular are ruined because for some reason SEGA decided to give sheet metal normal hair physics. Seriously, it looks awful.

And even then it's still nothing more than a bandage solution rather than something that actually solves the problem as the "flesh like" parts seem to use a completely different "material" so they still end up standing out in a negative way.

I have to disagree here. While anything but ideal, at least with the head parts you have some options. The thing that really screws Caseal fashion over the most is the lack of actual faces. There are only two in total, zero by default and none of them can be bought from the player shops so your only option is to go for a makeshift solution consisting of some horribly overpriced masks from the player market.

This isn’t even waifu clothing, it’s just nothing. Guys should have gotten the option to have this genetic clothing, at least.

@Milk can't call it nothing when there clearly something there that many are wearing. It's all about preference

I noticed that issue in base as well, but now with the graphics update/in ngs it doesn't seem to be so severe (at least to me). Looking through some screenshots I took, the caseal metal and human skin seem to use either the same or very similar material shaders now.

I have to disagree here... The thing that really screws Caseal fashion over the most is the lack of faces.

Honestly, even normal hair is fine if the face is at least robotic - though I don't think the face is quite so much a severe issue personally as I quite like the makeshifts as well. There definitely is a pretty severe accessibility issue with those, though, and anyone who didn't stock up on masks, eyes, etc. that also missed lamia face/aeros face is kinda SOL.

I'm still seething over Aeros face being reran for 160 USD (so of course, I didn't buy it). What I'm using right now instead is a bright white skin color with the defualt caseal facepaints along with Lukot eyes, and I think it looks nice enough, although I understand the head itself being ripped straight from the humanoid models is gonna have it end up being still too humanoid for some.

From a seller’s standpoint, this is a whole lot of nothing. People are not paying the same for these clothes as former scratch, at least not on my ship. If you’re struggling to even get rid of an outfit for a mere 100k then the people have spoken; they don’t want it.

@Milk Yeah that'll vary by ship

Yesterday some of the female cast parts were upwards to 500-700k each. Some of the training outfits still sit around 200-400k. The only thing selling for chump change are some of the facial cosmetics like eyebrows or male cast parts/male innerwear.

In contrast to that, the wedding dresses were selling for 1.2m-1.7m a piece, new emotes 1m-2m, makeup even pushing 1m. Heck, some of the rewind accessories even sold higher than that. From a seller’s standpoint, what would you rather have to sell? I basically had $90 worth of nothing of value on the market, which I didn’t mind because I just wanted the bonus prize fairy dash but oh geez it was not a successful scratch for selling.
