Apparently all chars are hunters in cutscenes?

unknown.jpg My character is a ranger, doesnt even have a sword in inventory ^^ yet through this entire quest, im shown with one

That has been a thing in PSO2 main as well, your character would either punch or sword things (Hunter was the default class), it was not until episodes 5 and 6 when the sicon class weapons (Hero, Phantom, and Etoile) were added to the cut scenes.

@LazerRay never played original, but interesting to know

Counter point this isn't 1995 anymore, this is a basic feature that should be in the game... i think its a Valid point that needs to be made... PSO2 got away with alot of bad ideas because it was old and, had been around for along long time and many of its ideas it did first.

PSO2NG should be inspired by PSO2 but it shouldn't be making the same mistakes as the original, it should be INNOVATING on those core concepts and doing it better. Things like the UI, the cutscene not displaying your class weapon, locking so much basic amenities behind a pay wall... yea ok PSO2 was able to get away with it because it was old, and thats how things were back in that era.

this is 2021... and some of this stuff just shouldn't get a pass.

@FatesWhim Yea, and it wasnt just hunter either. You would end up using all kinds of weapons your chosen class wouldnt be able to use in PSO2 cutscenes.

Yes, the canon is Ash, a hunter. They are just replacing your character in his place technically.

Is it lazy? Yeah. PSO2 also stuck with hunter until EP5, then you started to use whatever flavor of the year Scion class weapons.
