Really? Forced NGS tutorial before I can log into old PSO2? + Treasure Shop sucks

Hey, did you guys notice there haven't been bots? As annoying as you found it to have to go through that tutorial, (I thought it was funny that old players were being hand held, and enjoyed myself) I'm sure those people that love to sell meseta, and spam those RMT messages all day, hated it even more. Makes it easier to keep those groups banned, and out of our hair.

It's arguably going to be worse now, because messages in the lobby have a FAR wider range in NGS than on OG PSO2. Before, you could always find them in the same spot... now? Now you have to follow their speech bubbles halfway across the city to find out where they are so you can block+report them...

@n_n the forced tutorial wasn't going to stop the bots from appearing but it will annoy the people running those because they need to do the tutorial all the time for a new bot account.

It's not going to be long before the RMT clowns can fully automate it with no problem. Thus, it will only be the legitimate players that get annoyed. Do not underestimate what modern bots can do.

SEGA should not be forcing garbage tutorials that overstay their welcome. They should instead be moderating their video game.

@n_n you can put an entire team 24/7 of moderators and they still not gonna be able to stop bots, so mechanism need to be made in order to stop then.

Yeah, how dare sega make a tutorial so you understand the basics of the UPDATED version of a game. such an unwelcome nuisance.

Seriously, Get over it.

we've known what the treasure shop was going to be like for a very long time. There was never any indication that it was going to have FF or past SG bundle content in it. They're simply shoving something in a hole left by the absence of FF. Likely because FF needs to be maintained and treasure shop doesn't.

Far as the tutorial situation goes It does suck that only JP has the capability to only install PSO2 or NGS seperately when that was advertised as a feature. Can only speculate that the reason for the change has something to do with multiple platforms on the console side. I'd also guess that's probably why we got the switch version of base for global after the update.

No, I'm not going to get over it. I shouldn't be forced to spend 20-30+ minutes playing an unfinished, laggy product that has DCing/crashing issues (which I didn't want to play in the first place, btw) before I can finally access the old version. That is bad design and cannot be justified-- even if it "slows down" the bots for a few days, that doesn't excuse this BS.

The old PSO2 is on the same servers and engine, so it's also laggy, dcing, crashing and all the other jazz

Ok, and did your friend report them? Moderators can't deal with it effectively if you don't take appropriate action. They ban the accounts, the idiots have to go through the tutorial again. Eventually it won't be worth it, and a waste of time and resources.

Passing this information that I happen upon after creating another character.

How to avoid completing the first cocoon: Upon creation and entering NGS, return back to the title screen and then on the new character "Start PSO2" will be available. This should apply as long one character has done the initial prologue of NGS.

Could this have been handled better? Absolutely. The choice of which game to start in should be upon finishing naming a character.

Then sit there and keep crying about it, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "bad design" get through it once and after that, you can skip it. crying isn't going to change it, so yes, get over it, you don't have a choice. in the matter. You either go through the prologue or sit there in the corner weeping.

Crying is part of the PSO experience. If you don't like it, the door is that way. Go back to playing your unfinished mess of a game that has 1 week worth of content.
