So, about the restricted areas.

@Zeke What can I say, I don't like when people in general (not just you specifically) spread misinformation or speculation as facts.

If you're gonna talk about your speculation as facts, prepare to be called out when you turn out to be wrong.

Thing is I don't run a marathon of stalking a poster and repeating a paragraph in thread about someone being wrong about one thing.

If you're going to he called out on being wrong then don't hold a grudge over someone for that. It's quite childish and a bit creepy. You've been doing that quite a bit since the NGS stream.

@Zeke I dunno where I've been called out for being wrong, but at least I don't have problems admitting when I'm wrong, and I don't go around spreading speculation as facts, I usually take care to say that "I think" x is going to happen, or "most likely" y is going to happen.

EDIT: Oh, I remember now, I was wrong about buying SG not being removed from the platforms pages, since I hadn't seen the announcement at the time.

Mission Pass thread. You and many others believed it would be replaced. I kept saying it wasn't and for railed on for that. Sega emphasizes that pso2 is done with it which led to forum rage as we all saw.

Second was the fact pso2 isn't recieve anymore content and being kept in maintenance mode. That also got people to rail against me. Recent NGS news with pso2 showed that I was also right on that. Again rage happened on the forums.

I recall pretty vividly you calling me out on those saying I was wrong, but ended up being right. Now the one thing I was wrong about you've been parading around like a child showing their parents a medal they won. Even @ me in the process.

As I said it's been a bit creepy. You haven't admit you're wrong, but rather desperately trying to prove someone else wrong instead. As your recent posts shows you've been doing as I explained already.

I would say enough of that though. GM is popping in threads about things getting off-topic. If you want to continue this then that's on you. Don't exactly feel like incuring a GM's wrath myself.

  • Mission pass - You may be confusing me with someone else, I don't recall saying that it was going to be replaced.

EDIT: What I remember disagreeing with you is about SG being removed from shops like the casino and battle arena shops and being removed from rankings and such, which as of now we still don't know.

  • The fact that PSO2 isn't gonna receive more content - I don't think I ever disagreed with you in that, if anything I'm pretty sure I've said before that there were signs that PSO2 was entering maintenance mode as well.

EDIT2: From back in february: https://forum.pso2.com/topic/6447/will-sega-stop-making-content-for-pso2-when-ng-comes-out/24?_=1622142480186

  • About me using @ - I'm pretty sure I've only done that to reply directly to you, when I wasn't replying to you I mentioned your name without using @, though I apologize for bringing this up too much and will stop doing so.

Expect NGS to be massive on launch.

[Roadmap]

Massive on launch, you say?

Wow you have access to the full game? You know all the content that we're getting all the way to the last item? Please tell me just how much we're getting!

Well, considering how many areas are in Aelio and the level cap, I'd guess we're only getting items up to 5 star rarity, but no more than 6.

You could see the areas pretty well from the play area in the CBT, and they're all pretty small except for the western region, which, if this is where the game starts, should logically be the lowest difficulty area in the game. There could be high level veterans in the zone, or there could be higher level enemies the further out you go from the village, it depends on what direction they want to take with that.

The other three zones are quite small and are basically made to increase PSE levels quickly, as combat areas are. Mt. Magnus is roughly the same size as the forest and the lake, but it's designed vertically, and has more obstacles to traversing it to get to the next enemy spawn. Unless there's a lot of subterranean areas to those two zones, getting from point A to point B should take just about no time flat, especially for the lake area.

Toning down the sarcasm you do know we're getting more than what pso2 got when it first launched in 2012 right?

After looking it up, seems PSO2 at launch had the Forest, Tundra, Caverns, Desert, Tunnels, and Urban areas on launch, a level cap of 40, and the story up to the caverns area, which back then meant a ton more game time thanks to the matter board.

If we say, for sake of argument, that one gathering zone is roughly equivalent to one PSO2 field, then we have roughly as much to explore as in PSO2 episode 1. The forest, lake, and ruin are about the same size together as central Aelio, and design-wise the laboratory is just central Aelio but with buildings on top.

I'm not sure how many urgent quests there were back then, or how many missions beyond regular quests and explorations, but either way, with what we know, even if there is more map to see in NGS, I'd say there's more variety in PSO2, since they did many things with one tile set. You'd think if we were getting a quest counter or some way to get quests aside of NPC tasks, it would've been in the beta.

All in all, both games are too different to tell which one had more on launch. Saying with so much certainty that there was less in PSO2 than in NGS is just wrong.

If the game can keep everyone occupied for over 50 hours before getting bored I'd call that massive.

By your definition that could make Minesweeper, Solitaire, or Space Cadet Pinball massive as well.

People call genshin impact small with only two regions. Something tells me you're one of those people.

Lastly: lol, nice try. Going from making assumptions about the game's content to making assumptions about others to desperately prove your point. That ain't working.

@The-Merfox You're really comparing a linear dungeon with little in it to a massive open world? That alone shows you don't know what you're talking about. The beta had more to do than three zones put together in pso2 and that'd being generous to pso2. Tha map zone is looking to be FAAAAAAR BIGGER than pso2 in terms maps. Not to mention we actually get to explore for secrets and mats. NGS is much much MUCH bigger than base pso2 in content.

I would say my assumption worked fine since you proved it. Fact you said this is hardly content shows how one sided you're looking at this. NGS is showing to be quite big at launch so the strawman you tried with the other games you mentioned simply doesn't work.

As you said: What you're doing isn't working. Nice try though.

@The-Merfox PSO2 at launch, technically the tunnels area wasn't available at launch, though it did come out shortly after launch (2 weeks after launch).

Urgent quests, there was only one, an expedition like urgent quest set in the urban area, with Dark Ragne at the end.

I disagree about PSO2 having had more variety at launch, what PSO2 had was alot of terrible padding. The level 20 to 30 range was especially awful, the only content worth doing from 20 to 25 was just the desert expedition in normal mode or the hard mode nav rappy arks quest, since these were the only decent MPA quests available at that level range. Other hard mode arks quests worth doing only unlocked at lvl 25+, and the hard mode expeditions only unlocked at 30.

Then there were the client orders to unlock the level 30 cap, which required 90? items from natives of each of the 3 planets at launch, and these items didn't have a 100% drop rate. Since the desert was primarily darkers, it was a pain to get the desert items for that.

About the content available at launch for NGS, we just don't have enough information to judge it right now. The area size isn't everything, there's still alot of unknowns about the content itself, between how many tasks there will be to do, how much story content there will be at launch, how many urgent quests, how many cocoons and towers, and we don't know what are the unannounced types of dungeons that appeared in the first pusonicomi episode of NGS (the episode only showed the icon in the map, it was a different icon from cocoons and towers) and we don't know if these will offer replay value.

Plus while the first major update will only be in the winter, we don't know how many smaller content updates will they add until then (it's not impossible that they could add content that wasn't mentioned in the roadmap, such as new towers and whatever is the 3rd type of dungeon, and of course urgent quests).
