Russian language in NewGen ?

Russia could easily prohibit PSO2 for Loot Box mechanics, as well as dimensional and Parallel Earth propaganda.

Yes I know what you are absolutely seriously and right, but the Russian language is used not only in Russia. As well as English. And how many games are currently blocked?

And besides, think about it, there are other languages such as Chinese, that would bring way more players than Russian, and those players are well known all over the world for being the biggest spenders in the history of free2play gaming.

So why would they translate the game to Russian before they translate the game to chinese?

And then there´s Spanish, which is one of the most spoken languages in the world.

Russian is not even in the top 10 of priorities.

There's too much risk in pandering to China ATM.

China owned companies tend to rescript online games for a server version exclusively within the region.

That's the main reason behind why there's no Chinese translations.

So there's the legal reason why SEGA can't translate PSO2 in Chinese, as the Chinese government would also be angry.

@MasterDarkwingz There was a functional traditional Chinese subbed version of the game for the Taiwan servers, but together with SEA - which had a Thai subbed version in addition to English subs, were shut down over the years.

And I take it that all that work was quickly trashed.

Would probably be too much work for SEGA to do both Russian and Chinese under current pandemic workload.

Yeah, but if we're going by the delusions of the OP, none of that would be a problem and it would be way more profitable than translating for Russians.

Ask Sega Europe for a Russian version.
