Meseta Sellers in game (Ship 02)

If bots start using a whisper/tell system, I'd recommend against blocking them for at least a day or two after reporting them. Some Bots are capable of seeing invisible flags/system messages normal users cannot see, and may delete their character the moment they receive such a message stating you've blocked them/etc. They may then instantly create a new character and start doing it all over again.

We had this issue at Aeria Games, especially for games made by X-Legend such as Grand Fantasia. GMs were yelling at people to not block bots, as they found that this is what they were doing. In PSO2, there are also presets for chat. You can change to a preset that doesn't include the chat type the bots are using to soft-block them in a sense.

Is a good recommendation adding the website addresses to the in game censoring? Like for eg if the website was IRLMESETA that would be blocked as part of the url?

Bots will just space out the word or use what FFXIV Bots do:

W W W . F F X I V ◆◆◆ . D U D E - ◆◆◆ = STUFF. 1K Gil = 1 USD.

And stuff like that to get around it. They do this within minutes of new restrictions.

@John-Paul-RAGE Mature rated game. =/ Going to be hard to crack down on all of the dick/boob arts.

Fun fact: This is actually not covered by M rating. That would make it fall under AO, which would be basically...well, a huge problem.

So yeah, porn in general chat def needs to be reported.

Also, the problem with Symbol Arts is even worse.

Saw several people surround GM bill when he was online and start spamming pornographic SA.

Out of curiosity, so SA offenders get muted or what is the process for that?

I've had to block so many genital and breast symbol arts, it's kind of gross. Not a good look for the game, especially when it's done in front of GMs and nothing happens.

Please be patient with us. The spread of COVID-19 and governmental responses have forced some limitations upon us for a short time.

We know yall are doing your best, Deynger. I appreciate how honest you and the other GMs are with us, constantly.

Thank you all for working so hard. It does not go unnoticed 😹

And so it begins. It's about to get a whole lot worse when PC launches to. This is a side effect for F2P games unfortunately. Most you can do is report and ignore.

It's not just with F2P. I played a lot MMOs and every single one had those issues. No matter if it had a monthly fee. I guess there is no effective way to prevent gold sellers from spamming except disabling chat. And nobody wants that.

except disabling chat.

And Symbol arts. Since they'd just use that via player shops if chat gets disabled.

I've seen it on Ship1 too. Tried to report it via nearby players but they disappear too fast for me.

It would be nice if the nearby players list only updated when you searched again, much like the player search function of FFXIV. We have bots that teleport AND wall hack in FFXIV, so people can't report them as much anymore because they're underground beyond hitboxes that disallow you to click through them.

On top of gold sellers, there are users with 0 gamerscore and no character data selling a literally infinite amount of Recycle Badges. Every day they stock up to 999 which is incredibly suspect, even if they were just regular whales, we've reached a point where they have tens of thousands across all active ships. And it's from the same player ID.

EDIT: Just to point something out: At this point they've sold so many of these things that it's a legitimate risk to basically just collapse the economy at any point and the fact that they've been allowed to get away with doing this for almost an entire week is deeply concerning for the fate of this game.

@Nuebot I think this collapsing the economy is a severe overstatement. Yes it is a problem that needs to be investigated (would report them for review), but they aren't cheaper than some of the other AC items on the shop and are limited to being used in the swap shop.

Here's what one of my friends said about this...

Lol. Once the bots are sorted the economy will never recover from that. Inflation on other products won't settle down; And the cheap mats will probably stay fairly low for a while and only start to increase slowly after a few months.

@coldreactive what products get inflated by bots? I know in WoW bots could theoretically control all the world spawns, but for grindy games I have always thought bots caused RMT prices to become inflated due to everything else in game becoming cheaper from bots flooding markets.

Their price is rapidly dropping and most people are going to stockpile them for when it goes back up in value. A lot of people have over one hundred million meseta already and things even as simple as fodder weapons selling for 30-50 mil is becoming common place on ship 2 already. Casual AC items jumping from 10k to 1mil overnight is happening all over the place, Inflation is hitting hard and it's only going to hit harder as more people get absurd amounts of money and get to control the value of everything.

Once super inflation starts hitting an MMO's economy it almost never recovers and if sega doesn't actually do anything about this, the only real option is going to be some kind of wipe or else this game is screwed before it even hits proper launch. They should have had some kind of security or protection in place - JP managed to go for years before anything like this started to happen - but this kicked in on the first week of open beta. We aren't even a week in and the in-game economy is absolutely a slow motion trainwreck.

@Nuebot if someone is actually buying those fodder weapons for those prices, they got issues.

There are currently a lot of 13* weapons priced around 2mil which is a really good price this early in the game considering they are the top weapons currently.

Also snagged quite a few AC Emotes for around 100K so I can resale them after thos hyper inflation hits.
