NGS Has Been Delayed In Japan

Considering I don't know what a series is this doesn't help. I understood the statement. I wanted to know what a series is.

@Fiona-Respha

So when you say series are you talking about rarity? Or do you mean only specific weapons can be grouped together? (i.E you can't combine say knuckles and sword ever because they're not in the same group.)

When you said series it reminded me of manufacturers. So like knuckles could have 3 different manufacturers. But you can only combine say sword and knuckles if both of those specific weapons shared the same manufacturer.

If I take your reply to mean something it just sounds like you can't actually combine any weapon with any weapon. That Sega has already predetermined what weapons can work with others. Which is severely disappointing. Not being able to do TMG and knuckles actually makes me sad.

The screenshot was taken by a JP CBT player.

I can't show English text, since it's generally a modification on the live JP server, and I don't know how the official NGS English translations are going for the JP CBT.

You can use the Google Translate app for now, as I don't know how much of the information JP wants Global to know at the moment.

Series weapons are weapons with matching forenames, such as the standard Vita drop.

"15★ OPHISTIA SERIES, the 15★ TRAILBLAZER XION SERIES, or the 15★ ATLAS EX SERIES. "

Ah alright. That's a bit better. Thanks for the clarification.

Makes me wonder if every weapon is going to be standardized as such from then on; like, are we going away from the gear model we had during Episode 5 forever (where there was a couple 'series' but also a lot of random standalone weps)? I'm guessing this is another way to ensure weapons like Serpen Plenzer come with a downside (you don't get to use your sub's wep talents with them).

@_Flux_ I think we'll continue seeing some smaller series too, series of weapons that only cover a few weapons. Since you mentioned Serpent Prenzer, that one is a good example, it's part of a small series (the Boots and also Soaring Blades, Serpent Blazes).

@Ezodagrom That could mean we might see smaller main class focused "specialist" series and class combo focused "multi-class" specific series, as well as larger "generalist" series.

Another idea is they sneak in some kind of elaborate easter egg / plot flag that requires going through quite a bit of hoops (and hopefully, doesn't lock you out of it if ye mess up) that's so damned secret, that nobody would believe you...

...until some lug decides to post it on youtube and then everyone does it, ruining the surprise of it.

@Ezodagrom As I think about your reply, I'm coming around more and more to the idea. It gives them a bit of additional flexibility and levers for weapon balance and doesn't restrict the player TOO much. Part of the problem with weapons like Plenzer is having clear advantages over everything else because raw dps advantage is all we have for comparison right now.
